Amateur Radio operators or"Hams" have a 90 plus year history of volunteering our time, equipment and our expertise to provide backup communications during both man-made and natural catastrophic events.

Amateur Radio is represented by our national organization, the American Radio Relay League (ARRL). The league is our advocate for multiple interests in Ham Radio. They have a field organization that is divided into 15 divsions and 71 sections. I manage the South Texas Section.
